tamu 4-0
LSU 3-1
UK 3-1
Arkansas 3-1
South Carolina 2-1
Ole Miss 2-2
UF 2-2
Georgia 2-2
Alabama 1-2
Vandy 1-3
Tennessee 1-3
Auburn 1-3
State 0-3

Biggest surprises:
-Vanderbilt starting off so poorly. Their non conference losses to Kansas, Baylor, Dayton, and Purdue are all respectable, but unless they come close to winning out the rest of the way, it will be hard to see them getting anything better than an NIT bid.

-tamu being the class of the SEC. Wins against Baylor and Gonzaga and losses gives the ags the best resume in the SEC. Everyone expected them to be good, but they've already separated themselves as the clear #1 team at this point. The teeth of their conference slate picks up in a week or two, before leveling off the last week of February. They will likely battle UK for the #1 seed in the SEC tourney--LSU will be in the mix, but inconsistent and sub-par coaching might haunt the Tigers down the stretch.

ETA: edited to reflect current "standings", not "rankings".

I didn't realize Vandy had started so poorly. Critical game for both Bama and Vandy this Saturday.

We are 2-1.

If we were 3-1, we'd be in second place because of the 15-1 overall record.

Still a long way to go before I'll acknowledge this. Team has a lot of talent and grit, but I sometimes worry about shot selection by House and Jones.

I would still be shocked if we actually won the conference. We're good and could be dangerous in the tournament but we will lose a few we shouldn't. We've been getting lucky the last few games coming out flat and somehow surviving. I think we lose to UGA this weekend

We're good, but I don't expect us to win the SEC. We might, though. And that would be very cool.

I think we lose on the road to UGA this weekend.

Admittedly, I've only seen tamu play twice. But they've held opponents under 70 points 12 times this year.

Tennessee is a bad club, but the ags hung 92 on them at TBA in a shoutout. I think tamu and LSU have shown to be the two clubs most capable of finding different ways to win.

Should be a great stretch of basketball come late January and February. All starts next week with LSU@tamu in prime time

Why is everyone capitalized, but A&M?

I don't think we've separated ourselves from UK.

UK still has just as many good wins as we do, along with a huge win over Duke. Their losses are just slightly worse than ours.

It's still early, but this UK team just doesn't feel like a the world beater we are used to.

They could definitely get better and gel towards the end of the season, but I still think the ags have the coaching and rotation to win the conference.

They clearly are not, but its not going to take a world beater to win this conference.

Well he didn't even include Missouri so I'm not sure I'd get too bent of shape over a capitalization.

A&M is a surprise?

They were top 25 with a shite ton of returning talented upperclassmen.

The biggest surprise in the league has to be Arkansas and Vandy.

And just how utterly dog shite Mizzou is. Dear god we beat them by 30 at home.
