Why are MSU and Bama not playing Big XII teams like everyone else?

Big 12 only has 10 teams. SEC has 14. Means 4 teams left out.
Im sure attractive matchups play into it pre-season when selecting games. Also, the SEC and Big 12 pick the games, IIRC.

IF TN somehow went 2-0 this week we actually could enter the NCAA discussion.
I know we won't and we aren't an NCAA team, but it is impressive we are scheduling at a level that will get us in the mix in future years when this team grows up.

Vandy moving up to 55 helps us a lot if we can win. Really hope we keep the momentum going since I'll be in attendance.

Tough week for us @USC and @TCU. I'm hoping USC has a bit of a hangover from their big game and we can sneak out a win there.

We need to win both this week if we wanna make the tournament. Last year, we dropped some we had no business losing that ultimately kept us out, and these two are the type of games we need to avoid. Glad Auburn is at home this year
