Why would any up-coming coach want to coach dumpster fires? Wash ups or un-proven coaches is all the conference can get...that's all.

Coaching no worse than talent level right now.

Today is what kills the SEC getting extra tourney bids. Since the.middle of the pack doesn't have good OOC wins, every bubble team needs Florida to avoid upsets and bubble teams like Georgia to avoid losses to bottom of the league.

What league does have the best coaches? The SEC does suck, but it isn't for a lack of decent coaches.
Nobody is getting Roy Williams or Bill Self to come to an SEC school, but the talented coaches are very good, IMO.

I think it will get better over the next few years. MSU has had three top 25 classes in a row and one top 10. Texas A&M has had three top 25 classes in a row and one top 5. Auburn has had two top 15 classes in a row. Alabama has been recruiting top 25. UF has been recruiting well. There are some good coaches in the league Calipari, Avery, Pearl, Howland, frank Martin. It has to get better. I also don't think it's quite as bad as it seems.

Stop that noise. The conference as a whole had some kick arse recruiting classes. Coaches just can't coach them up.

Sadly, I agree. The conference needs to figure out how to turn it around.

If I was an up-coming coach, the SEC would attractive because it would be easy to win consistently

The entirety of SEC athletics other than WBB and track is quickly becoming NAIA level bad.

Time to look at our admins. All that money and the conference is going backwards.

When the SEC usually had 3-4 legit top 25 teams from the 80s through mid 2000s, there was a lot more NBA starters and borderline NBA talent than you've seen recently.

NAIA level bad

That's a little much

Overall I agree though. Everyone blames Saban for their bad football hires, so who do they blame for bad basketball hires? It's time to start looking at the adminstrations

Hate to say it, up in comers are heading to a school were basketball program is not 3rd or 4th on the pecking order like some SEC programs place it.
