Our bats started out on fire. Not sure what caused them to crash but we need to fix it ASAP. Our pitching staff is phenomenal.

so Arkansas is 8th in team BA, 12th in doubles, 9th in triples, and 1st in homeruns by quite a bit. Quite the feast or famine approach at the plate there.

If Mizzou can clean up their defense this will be a good season.

Our bats have been hot as hell, especially with some of our bigger hitters getting healthy. And the pitching is starting to catch up. They may not have the depth of some other teams but they'll compete with what they have consistently in the rotation. Pretty excited about it.

I looked for the Roger Dorn "Ole" gif for 10 minutes. I'm disappointed.

The homers are great, but the key to Arkansas is they pitch it well. While this may not be reflected in team ERA completely, which is mid pack in the league. It is reflected in K's per 9 and K to walk ratio. Arkansas is 3rd in the nation in K's per 9 innings and 8th in the nation in K to walk ratio. Add that to the fielding and that is why they have gotten off to a good start. They get good at bats too. Right around 5th or so in walks in the league and 4th in the league in HBP.
Arkansas has quite a few guys who can make the ball leave the yard. If you walk a guy or give up a single, they can make you pay with the long ball. Only 1 player in the regular line up doesn't have multiple homers and he has 1 on the season.

After our preseason #1 year with our ERA championship where we couldn't generate any runs, Dave Van Horn has allocated more scholarships to hitters. You can see how thin we are in pitching on Sunday but it will be fun to watch. If our pitching can hold up, we could be dangerous come tournament time.

Auburn is average in most of these stats. Downright horrible at hitting the HR ball. It's a wonder we are 5-1 in the SEC.

Kentucky needs to improve on defense. Other then that.
Posted on 3/27/17 at 10:16 am to Wtodd
Said before conference play began that the defense must improve or that would cost the tigers some games. You just cant give SEC level teams 4 and 5 outs an inning and get away with it very often.

...have you SEEN our record? I'm assuming that you have not seen us try to play baseball, because it's like watching a bunch of retards try to hump a doorknob.
