Tom Ritter will supervise all replays from Birmingham

Bout time they did something to fix things.
I propose that they put one official in the upper deck and liquor him up good before the game. Maybe a crew watching on tv at home would help.

Oh yeah I like this idea ,but really they do need to make some changes, we'll see.

I have seen some horrendous calls go for and against Arkansas over the years despite a video review. It would be nice to get this sorted out.

Good. If everyone would stop being so paranoid, they would realize this is a good thing.

While the Ritter thing is an obvious joke, it does make one wonder when all the bama ranters are backing this, in this thread & in another. More control from the SEC League office is a good thing??

Yes relief that Ritter isn't running this, but Steve Shaw as director of officials doesn't make me any more comfortable.

Oh nice, maybe now they will not call interceptions when a guy rips the ball from a WR's hands WHILE the WR is laying with his back on the ground.

Shut up. That never happened.

One of the best calls I've ever seen. Amazed they got it right given the context.

Your AD allows Ritter and Shaw to stay. Guess he is comfortable with them

I suggested this last year. But I wanted it to be centralized in Charlotte, with a committee of three doing the review. Having it in Birmingham will cause technical problems and a sense of bias if Tom Ritter is involved solely.

"Our goal is to continue to use the best-available resources to support correct outcomes when instant replay is used," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey.
At last, an honest commissioner. Nothing about accurate calls, just correct outcomes.

They will all be reviewed by staff at REC to ensure they are correct for Bama. In the past it was too difficult to reach Coach Saban to get him to review each play and decide which way Bama wanted it called.
