Independence Day. Following an afternoon of poolside tall boys, pitch-black skies are made for sparklers.

With that theme in mind, here is Saturday Down South’s All-Fireworks Team for 2016. These are the players at each position in the SEC capable of lighting up any stadium faster than a teenager with a Roman candle.

QB, Swag Kelly, Ole Miss
RB, Nick Chubb, Georgia
TE, OJ Howard, Alabama
WR, Antonio Callaway, Florida
AP, Christian Kirk, Texas A&M
DT, Daylon Mack, Texas A&M
DE, Myles Garrett, Texas A&M
LB, Richie Brown, MSST
CB, Jalon Tabor, Florida
S, Eddie Jackson, Alabama
K, Daniel Carlson, Auburn
P, Trevor Daniel, Tennessee

If Chubb were completely healthy, I wouldn't say a word.....but as it stands, I don't see how you can pick him and leave Fournette off.

Hmm. Some people might feel burned by these firecrackers.

Garrett is very good but Barnett actually graded higher than Garrett. In fact, he was the highest rated edge rusher behind only Joey Bosa.

That said, I think Garrett is the better pure pass rusher while Barnett is the better overall DE (he has both pass rushing skills and the ability to stop the run). IOW, Barnett is the complete package right now whereas Garrett has a specialization.

It's good to see Trevor Daniel get some love. The punt against UGA was an absolute marvel to behold -- it was seriously like watching some insane magic trick and the most perfect punt I've seen since the Colquitts. His punt was also absolutely critical to winning that game.

That Trevor Daniel can really light up a field at the punter position.

With all those "firecracker" defensive players, aTm should be a top 3 defense this year.

Agreed. Believe scoring defense was 5th in the SEC last year. I believe we will move up to top 3 this year.
