Yeah, I don't think Hugh's pastor or his FCA friends need to be doling out scripture, quotes or what Hugh has been texting/tweeting them in private. Best just to let this thing die down, let folks deal with the Lord in their own private place and leave it at that. The preachers can most definitely offer support, counseling, and Godly advise to the Freeze family - but keep it private.

Best comment yet.

Of course he is. Freeze baptized his son in the locker room...

He misquoted the Bible. Of course you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, accepting that his sacrifice was a perfect substitute for all your sin and shame.

The Bible does say:
"For by grace, you have been saved, through faith, and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not earned by good works, so that no man may boast"

So, he's right. Just left out an important detail.

and yet people wonder how the allegations against him could have remained in the shadows for so long...

he was their friend, he won games, nothing else matters to them.

Christians that use this as an excuse for their wrongdoings need to be set on fire. These piece of shite hypocrites are the main reason so many people turn away from Christianity.

I wonder if he'd be saying this if Hugh screwed his daughter! What a clown! Rich a-hole living in his comfort bubble with his eyes closed.

I wouldn't doubt it if he offered his daughter to him. Win at all cost. Smh
