That's like saying Smart is the best DC based on "his" defenses at Bama.

I guess you're not familiar with the term straw man.

Maybe so, but they proved they have the ability to understand the impact of talent on an offenses production in the NFL, which mizzou fans just havent been capable of doing.

Mizzou fans have bobo to thank for their east title last year with his brilliant naked boot leg call vs sc, so maybe Yall will miss bobo too?

They seem to have forgotten Kevin Steele. Hmm...

Why are you laughing? I think Odom will do pretty well at the Zou. Not good enough to stop Enos, or get hired at Arkansas, but he'll do well.

Odom will be the best hire made this offseason.

I hope the rest of league keeps overlooking Barry Odom for the entire season.. they gonna feel so stupid for picking us 3-4 in the east..

Yeah I would put Enos ahead of Schottenheimer as well. Other than that, the list looks spot on.

I can live with Enos on that list possibly but Schottenheimer? No way.

I dont think either will have more impact in the SEC than Odom.

Serious question.

Will he be the play caller? That's where he really sucks.

But at the same time, most of you wouldn't give credit to Muschamp for his Florida defenses.

You'll move the goalposts wherever you need to suit your arguments. The only way to win this game is to not play. He asked me my opinion. I gave it.

Of course.

I remember last year when Odom was a candidate for the DC job here, it would have been an "OK" hire, but I'm glad we landed Robb Smith instead.

Link?

His Florida team is more a reflection on him than anywhere else in his career.

No matter the school, the HC's fingerprints are all over the team, doesn't matter if he's an "offensive" or "defensive" minded coach, his fingerprints are on the other side of the ball.

Some go to as far of extremes as say Petrino who has a playbook for both sides of the ball, one is decent the other obviously sucks.

Malzahn, Bryles, Sumlin, Petrino, etc will never have elite defenses year in and out, no matter the DC, their finger prints on their team sets the DC up for failure.

Of course he will be. Crappy talent can make a play call look much worse than it is. Mizzou fans should know that from last year.
