From what I saw in this thread, it seems accurate.
https://www.secrant.com/rant/sec-football/sean-white-is-better-than-drew-brees/66723158/

Let's compare their sophomore seasons (except Bentley is a true FR who graduated early and should be a SR in HS right now:

Completion %
SW: 69.1%
DB: 63.4% (that was his career high)
JB: 73%

Yards per attempt
SW: 9.1
DB: 7.0
JB: 8.4

TD:INT ratio
JB: 6:0
SW 4.5:1
DB 1.95:1
(Brees has 20 INT on the year, White has only had 2 in the 9 games)

Passer Rating
JB: 170.3
SW: 159.8
DB: 137.8 (career high)

wow, what an accomplishment.

Best freshman quarterback in the SEC and he should be a high school senior.

Thing about Bentley is, so far at least, he seems to really have a solid grasp of how to play the position. Plus he is a leader - fearless in the pocket - loves to play the game.

His running skills are underrated as well. He can make things happen with his feet ... and the kid has a cannon for an arm but he throws a nice pass, tight spiral, with touch.

It's fun watching him play.

Reminds me a lot of Steve Taneyhill except Bentley has a better arm.

1992 was it? Taneyhill and company probably should have beaten The Gators in The Swamp ... lost 13-9 if I remember correctly. After the game SPURrier said, "The Gamecocks should have won today. The Good Lord was smiling on The Gators."

Wonder who The Good Lord might smile upon this coming Saturday?

I call BS, Barner. It was between Bama, Barn and us. His dad, a S.C. coaching legend took a job with Carolina. It's his home. Family is here.

Good school and all, I hope Saban hangs half a hundred on you.

What you gonna say if Carolina lands the highest-ranked D-lineman in the nation next year. And while we are are at it, we cold-stone stole King from you.

He was a pretty good qb at opelika high.

Amazing thing is he graduated a FULL YEAR early from high school. Only 17 years old. He should be playing in the Alabama high school playoffs right now.

Bentley was going to stay at Opelika HS right 10 min down the road from Auburn and probably be our QB in this class before he decided to graduate early. If he would've came to Auburn this year then he'd have to sit 3 years behind Sean White and by the time SW is gone he has to compete with Joey Gatewood and who knows who else.

Scared.

He was held back in middle school I think for athletic purposes. Could be in hs, but is the same age as most other freshmen.
