Scenario:

Alabama beats Auburn, loses to Florida in the SECCG.

OSU beats Michigan, but Penn State wins out, goes to BIG10 Championship.

Clemson wins ACC championship.

Washington loses to Wazzou, who then beats Colorado in rematch game.

Oklahoma wins vs. Ok State.

Clemson
Alabama
OSU
Oklahoma

3/4 don't "win" in a conference championship game, as Oklahoma doesn't play one.

Everyone melts.

the best part of this is the B1G commissioner was the main person touting that conference champs only should be in the playoff... Im sure that he has probably changed his tune considering the landscape as of this second.

Conference championships was never part of the deal. They said they would strongly consider but my issue is how can it be taken seriously when one conference champion will always be left out.

He wasn't the only one touting the conference champ thing. If I'm Delaney, I'm happy regardless of the outcome. Penn State and Wisconsin are both huge football schools. Same with Michigan. Actually Michigan controls its own destiny. They beat the Buckeyes and Wisky/Nebraska and the Wolverines are in the CFP. And if they lose it will only be the Big Ten winner getting in. The way it should be.

Possible (tho unlikely) doomsday scenario for B1G:

Wisc loses to Minn
Nebr loses to Iowa
PSU loses to MSU
OSU loses to Mich

Wisc beats Mich in CG

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all even if we somehow beat both FSU and Bama.

Well there's a good chance that a Big 10 team will be taken over the actual Big 10 champ.

I think the one game that is most likely to happen is Iowa beating Nebraska. The next most likely scenario is OSU losing to Michigan.
The Gophers beating Wisky at Camp Randall is slim to none, even though Minnesota has a decent team this year. And no way does Sparty upset Penn State at Happy Valley.

The point, though, is that Delaney was certainly on the conference champ only train, and there is a scenario where he could get two schools into the playoff this year, which Im sure he and the conference would want. If Michigan wins out, Washington loses, I would argue that Penn St should be in the playoff and would have no issue with them being in there.
You also have a shot to get Ohio St in with Wisconsin or Penn St... either way, Im sure he probably feels differently about the situation today than he used to.
