It's about time to start breaking out the charts and diagrams of how we did it and how we're still going to get the death penalty isn't it?

It's about time y'all gave us some credit. I mean if it's so obvious we did it and we had the entire country paying attention to it, why didn't we even get a slap on the wrist?

You only have two options. Give us credit for one hell of a cover up job or say we didn't pay him.

We don't care about the facts or proof. We just know it happened.

According to the police report, the computer was found in Newton's room, but Newton avoided the rush by asking police if they could wait outside a moment while he called a local attorney. When police returned moments later, the laptop was gone and they were not happy. The authorities later found it behind a dumpster just outside of Newton's third-floor window.

Might be the most inaccurate statement I've ever read on here.

In fact, it is.

I love the "he got off, therefore he didn't do it" argument.

How is this different from the "the charges were dropped, therefore they didn't do anything wrong" argument we all heard last summer?

Oh come on people. He either stole the laptop or he bought a laptop that he knew was stolen. Otherwise he wouldn't have thrown it out the window when the police came to his room. Furthermore, he tried to cover up the previous owners customization on the outside with black paint.

That's like my buddy who had a nice pocket knife stolen at work (left it sitting on his desk) and then the next week another employee had it but tried to paint the handle black to disguise it. People do the same crap with stolen bikes they sell on craigslist.

Newton knew what he was doing and he's damn lucky that he was a highly recruited athlete bc if he were any other average student he would not have gotten out of it.

If he stole a laptop and it was clear cut, he'd definitely have a criminal record for that right?

No. Most people don't get criminal records until their 3rd or 4th offense unless they happen in a short period of time.

1st offenses usually get some kind of diversion program where they do a little community service, pay some cash, and it stays off the record.
