SC vs KY...who you got?

Sadly, this game is make or break for us. Something tells me since we choked against them last year, that Spurrier will bring out the best in our team on Saturday night. Home field will be too much for them to handle and we win by 14+. What say the rant?

Im thinking revenge will be the motivating factor. Y'all going to piss off that mildcat bunch and make them angry enough that they will be after our azz the following weekend.
If USC loses? The season is going down the pooper.
Hate to see you win and hate to see you lose

Gamecocks win but don't cover

I'm inclined to say that SC will win by 10 or so. Then again, I thought you were going to take care of the "revenge game" against us last year and that didn't happen.

Cripple fight imo. UK win by 1

Mainly because of our defense, which despite a small sample size, at least looked improved. I won't be surprised if we lose, but I expect a win.

Carolina D wins the day. Your qb needs to grow up in a hurry.

I'm more worried about our receivers not named Cooper than I am Mitch. He had a rough start, but he threw some good passes that were dropped. Other than that, nobody could get open. Mitch will improve.

I think it's a make or break game for UK as well. This is not a typical Spurrier team, and UK needs to take advantage of that.
Will be tough on the road, but I do think the UK offense can put up some points.
Hard to go against the OBC who has owned UK during his career except for a couple, including last year.
UK's defense was surprisingly bad last night, which is a bad sign.
I will use my heart though, and go UK 31, Carolina 24

Hopefully the 4th Q SC team shows up for 1st Q this time.
SC by 17.
SC by 17.

If the team that played the first half against The Ragin Cajuns shows up, UK has a good shot. If the team that played the second half shows up, the Cats will lose by 30.

Cox. They haven't fallen far enough to become UK's bitch in back-to-back years.

In Week 1, UK had their great season-opener on their shiny new home field against a Sunbelt team, and needed to score a final TD in the end to win and gave up nearly 500 yds of offense.
In Week 2, USC has their great season-opener in Williams-Brice with all their recent stadium grounds upgrades and statue unveiling and excitement that that all entails, and play host to UK. Gamecocks also remember that UK last season was one of those 4th-qtr loss games that spoiled their 2014 season.
USC still has issues stopping the run if the UNC game is indicative, and last year's game UK busted out the Wildcat which USC wasn't able to even slow down and that's what won the game for the Wildcats.
USC is still looking for answers to their offense at least in the passing game, while UK seemed to start out red hot, but were outscored and out-gained by UL-L after the 1st quarter. If the Ragin Cagins hadn't had those 4 turnovers they most likely would have won the game.
USC needs to win the turnover battle again like with UNC, and start out more prepared in the passing game. We can't sputter to start against UK again like we did vs UNC....

Gamecocks will win another ugly game. We will play ugly and make Kentucky look ugly. But we will win. Then we come out looking like a well-oiled machine against Georgia.

I don't have much confidence in our team after the second half Saturday. All the Gamecocks have to do is run it every down and they'll be ok. If I were a Carolina fan I wouldn't be too worried.

It's the age old Gamecock adage ... we play up, or down, to our competition.
