The awards keep rolling in for SC's Braden Webb. He was Fr All SEC, Fr All American by College Baseball and now the NCBWA.
The NCBWA also just named him Fr Pitcher of the Year.
It's about a 99% that he'll sign his 3rd RD contract with the Brewers though, so y'all won't have to worry about him next year.

Why was he a 21 year old freshman?

A 21 year old shouldnt be allowed to be a freshman all american or any freshman award for that matter

Yep, but now he won a bunch of awards and got a nice contract, so he's happy.

He took a year off after high school to rehab an arm injury

Good for him. When I saw that he was drafted last week, I was curious as to how a freshman was draft eligible. Did a little research and found this article talking about his arm issues, surgery, rehab, and being a 21-year-old freshman. Pretty cool of South Carolina to honor his scholarship after all of that.
The dude pitched a gem against Vandy earlier in the year (8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 11 Ks). With his history, one would have to think he takes the money and goes pro.
