Their fight song is pretty cool. I would say it is probably the west coast equivalent of the war chant from Florida State.

VFL and Team Captain of the Sugar Vols, Dale Jones, is one of Appalachian State's coaches. They have a sign that derives from our "I will give my ALL for Tennessee today" sign that is shaped like the state of NC instead of TN and that they tap before every game just like we do. I suppose that makes them a cousin of ours.
