leaders have to make decisions ahead of the time based on the facts they have at hand. I am pretty sure they had folks from the weather service, FEMA, and state authorities giving them worst case scenarios. The storm changed. Moving a football team and all the staff is a hard thing to do in a short time frame. Plus hotel rooms inland were being scooped up. By not playing the game, many hotel rooms opened up for people fleeing the beach areas. Even the hotels along the gulf beaches were booked solid. Some for long vacations and some for people fleeing the storm.

There's no reason this game shouldn't have been played & there were SEVERAL other feasible options to make it happen.

my guess is because UF did not like the options and they refused to give up a home game. I agree now that playing this game on a Sunday makes a lot of sense. But calling UF scared to play a team without a true HC and without a healthy LF is moronic.

nah, I saw him at the titty bar last night making it rain with the money Alabama gave him to not move the game.
