He should have had a hierarchy of options to have the game played this weekend either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, and worked on a tiered plan to make sure that each scenario could be executed depending on what happened with the weather.

It may not be a fireable offense as such, but it will really take a lot of good decisions for him to dig his way out. It's called leadership, and he capitulated to the two schools who couldn't decide instead of nutting it up and taking control. Sankey looks like a fool.

it honestly should be a fireable offense. you can't expect either AD to come to the middle. Both are going to fight for the best for their school. Foley best interest was cowardly but it helped UF.

It is crazy that a region that has violent weather in the fall doesn't have a fricking contingency plan for if such a situation should happen.

This really wasn't that hard to get done if the commissioner was a competent individual. He let the Ads sit there and slap fight instead of him taking control. 5 other florida teams managed to play their games, usc/uga managed to move their game. Then again USC and UGA are run by Ads that can work with others. Alleva is a coward and Foley is shrewd.

I don't think Joe looks foolish in this. His big mistake was allowing Foley to control narrative. This is when we should have had a leaky ship like we did last year during the les firing.

I think we might have got a little greedy in putting BR on the table so early.

Danielson completely bitch slapped him when he came on during the A&M / UT game yesterday. If that had been a fight, the ref would have stopped it in the middle of the first round.

I respectfully disagree. He's the fricking commissioner of the biggest brand in all of college football. He looks weak, and foolish, and unprepared for the job.

Sankey is the BIGGEST PUSSY ever to have the title of SEC Commissioner. You think Slive would have allowed the NCAA to pull the immunity crap like they did earlier this year? Do you think Slive would have kowtowed to Florida and then backtrack like baby back bitch in the media? Hell to the frick no would Slive have pulled this milk toast bullshite. Sankey needs to go ASAP!

And it was even worse on the SEC Now show. Which is what prompted me to write this post. I saw what he said this morning and it was embarrassingly lacking in leadership and vision.

you are confused, Joe Alleva is the AD of LSU. Now he is a fricking failure on the level of jay jacobs or worse and should have never been hired by us. However, he did try to get this game played. Foley refused and Greg Sankey the retard commissioner botched it.

Joe is a horrible AD and he fricking sucks at PR. He seems like he makes the correct moves behind the scenes but then he fricks it in the arse when it comes to the media and public.

The only competent thing he managed was firing miles after the auburn game.

This game (or lack thereof) will be his Cuban Missile Crisis.

If he can't get it played, he's done.

even if he gets it played its still going to be bad for him.

his options are don't play the game at all. you take a gamble that UF and LSU both lose again so it wont matter. This is really the only way this can go right for him. Don't play and have LSU lose again which is likely due to a schedule and UF lose again which isn't as likely.

IF you move the game then you are either paying the buyout for both LSU and UF at the min. and probably paying LSU for lost rev.

the other option is moving other sec teams therefore taking this from LSU/UF issue to affecting either arky or uga. USA and Presb. will be messed with either way but they will be paid and the nonconf teams don't really matter.

its a big ole mess though because Sankey was too stupid to step in when he should have.

Exactly. Tennativly reschedule later this weekend, postpone if need be. Such an obvious solution that it seems there was an anterior motive.

You're right it's bad for him no matter what.

I think if the game doesn't get played he should be fired. The game will cause a number of ripples for other teams too, but in order to preserve an order he will have to marshall the others and just get it done.

I mean Sankey got played like a fiddle by Florida. The entire conference can see it. I hope they slit his throat and throw him to the curb as soon as the season is over.
