Just as a general response to people asking about LSU's ranking, Sagarin's formula is one of the ones that is widely erratic in the first half of the season and starts clarifying and edging closer to what most people would consider realistic toward the end. Not all of the computer polls are like that, but Sagarin is one of them. LSU is still 3-2 with a pair of comfortable wins to open the season. Those account for 40% of the data to date.
