Are there more "coverage" sacks or just superior athlete blowing up through the protection?

Is there a site that tracks this?

JMO, I think college QBs hold the ball longer and lock in early on a guy wanting him to break open.

With more experience, pro QBs throw it away quicker.

I can't imagine they analyze and/or keep track of that

I think he has a good point here. Maybe it is just the SEC and the conference not having a lot of experienced qb's this year. That being said, CK at Ole Miss seems to be the worse about it. And he is a senior. I am not saying he is a bad qb, in fact I beleive him to be the best in the conference. I am just saying he tends to hold onto the ball too long.

I bet Saban has this tracked.

It seems to me if you coach your QB to look deep, then check down, then chuck it to the band.

Deep, check, chuck.

It seems that play callers also design long developing plays (whirly bird is the prototype) that unless you have a great offensive line, the passing game should be 1,2,3 throw it

Ole Miss's main problem is the inability to run the ball against good defenses. You throw the ball 50+ times in the SEC there will be payments to made in Ls. Your defense also wears out faster when you are gunslinging your way to try and win. The only positive is that the fans are ok with scoring 38 pts and losing by 10....they like being entertained I guess....Id rather be bored and win myself.
