Thanks for the arrogant response!

Well, you were being a little presumptuous, assuming that you know what we are and aren't thinking. I match presumption with arrogance.

Sources told Bedard that Saban has made it known that if he returns to the NFL, it would be with Lombardi as his GM.

This part is the one nugget that makes me think there's any chance at all. If he hasn't completely closed the door on it at this point then you never know.

I could see it happen. Saban is an egomaniac and loves to have his ego stroked ... he bombed as an NFL head coach and that probably sticks in his narcissistic craw. I loathe Alabama but they're in a good position to hire a good coach and I would assume Kirby Smart and Mike Riley would be at the top of the list. At least we wouldn't have Lil Nicky exploiting his Louisiana ties to recruit in the Pelican State.

There are worse jobs than Cleveland. New owner. Lots of cash.

That said, he stays at Bama.

If he went I doubt it would be due to money or locale but the drive to excel at the next level.

The other thing that that can happen to some egomaniacs is that they don't set themselves up to fail twice and stick to what they are good at.

He DID put his N GA lake house up for sale this year. Just sayin'.

You mean the one who's real estate listing was the talk of the internet this summer?

The one that any google search will tell was never occupied or even intended to be occupied by Saban but that was built with partners as an ivestment?

That lake house?

But... but... my friend who is a Gamecock fan and has a house on the same lake, as do Vince and Barbara Dooley, he says he goes up there all the time and hobknobs with them..

Are you calling my friend the Gamecock fan a liar?
