Spoke to a member of the REC in June at Flora-Bama. He surprised me and said, "We only have him for one more year."
The recent talk of his imminent departure after the season makes me wonder.
It may be time for another mountain.
Alabama has been lucky to have him as long as they have. He is a great coach, and coupled with Steve Shaw, head of SEC refs, and a Bama grad, they have cornered the conference football market.
