Shed some real light on the quarterback situation:

QB: Cooper Bateman OR Blake Barnett OR Jalen Hurts

Ouch, I guess we really did change the O-Line 1 week before the game.

He also clearly stated it was going to be Bateman and Barnett taking the QB snaps. No Hurts.

So basically this year Hurts is last year's Barnett.

Bama fans told us he was going to be greatest center in the history of football. Why the move to guard?

I heard that. Strange that he put them all on the same line on the depth chart. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Because the new center is an even better center than the best center in the history of football.

"We're sort of down to two guys here," Saban said. "Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett are probably the two guys that we're getting ready to play in this game, and that's the way it's gonna be for right now.
You are correct, sir.

Cooper Bateman it is.

Link?

1. Probably trying to get the best 5 on the field.
2. Saban hates depth charts and this is all subject to change.

As long as your QB has arms to hand off the football then you will be fine.

Yep - great example of a kid showing up, working for 2-3 years, accepting new roles each season and slowly moving his way up the depth chart.
