Guess its time to bring this back since LSU fans are in complete denial that we hired a great coach.

I posted facts
you missed the fact about him being 8-12 against top 25 opponents. if he were 12-8 i would think he might have potential in the sec.

no they are not

Arkansas is not a destination so much as a place where you end up going off the road getting a reach-around on your bike

Actually I like the hire - but he's going to succeed or fail based on recruiting... I don't think he'll make chicken salad out of chicken shite in the SEC (which is too bad since one thing Arkansas has plenty of is chicken shite)

A destination job is a place that you would never leave as a head coach (at least for another college job)

do you really think Arkansas is a destination job?. Alabama, Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Florida, Ohio State, & Michigan are probably destination jobs. LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Oklahoma are probably destination jobs.

Arkansas is a very good job but about the 5th easiest place to build a great program at within their own division (behind LSU, Bama, A&M, and Auburn)

Just assume they're all serious and have fun with them. At least it makes them feel important.

i think you're just having a hard time convincing yourself that arkansas isnt a destination job. the evidence is pretty overwhelming, but facts and stats never hamper that fightin' tiger spirit.

I don't get why you guys are so high on him. He seems average at best to me. 7-5 this season and he played 2 ranked teams during the regular season and lost to both. Avoided Michigan and Northwestern this year too. I think he was wearing out his welcome at Wisconsin. Houston Nutt II.

There is no such evidence

And honestly after actually going there a few weeks ago, my opinion that Arky is mid tier was even further cemented.

lost 3 in overtime and the other 2 by field goals. just as easily could have been undefeated, all the while breaking in a new qb and a retooled oline. next?

I guess losing is ok at arkansas as long as it's close
