I haven't bought into the rumors at all before yesterday but after the most abysmal coaching performance I've ever seen from Saban, I wonder if his mind isn't elsewhere. Granted, McCarron and Co. didn't appear to be on their game between dropping passes and committing penalties they usually don't commit, but they played well enough to win were it not for several boneheaded in-game decisions by the coaching staff and it all comes back to the man in charge. It was quite apparent which team wanted it more and played with more emotion and that team was Auburn. Congrats to them

They were tight like their coach and played like they had everything to lose. If you think NS was distracted by Texas you just haven't been paying attention.

I think yesterday gives him all the more reason to come back and try to win it all next year. Leaving now makes no sense at all.

You guys floor me... One loss to a good team... And Saban must be thinking elsewhere. That and I keep hearing its a down year. One fricking loss in the SEC. You guys are so diluted.... Don't go bitching about us LSU fans... Geesh.

Saban may go to Texas to watch NFL playoff game in January or visit practice.

He probably will work with GMac's dad on getting his players evaluated for draft, but Saban will retire from Alabama in a few years(5 to 7more) and then pull a Jake Scott and disappear

Can Bama match the big bucks and partial ownership in Longhorn Network?

It's got to be tough dealing with a loss in Tuscaloosa at this point in time. Next year with a new QB will produce 1-3 losses. He may be gone.

He did leave LSU after an embarrassing loss to Iowa in the Cap One.

That loss sucked and Saban definitely cashed it in. Never should have gone down that way.

Driving me nuts too, my Bama relatives were all convinced that Saban mailed it in cause he's going to Texas. No possible way that Bama could lose without that, right?
