It's like every time he berates the media, is the first time you dolts have seen it. And then you subsequently declare he's melting and the dynasty is over.

Should have taken the 100M and gone to Texas. Then the lsu fans would be happy.
But he didn't so L6U will be L7U soon.

Dang ESPN. Their broadcast should have featured a verbally incomprehensible former DL coach who looks like an over-the-hill prize fighter who has taken one - excuse me - WAY too many left jabs, and who was pulled from the ranks of the unemployed recently because of his awesome spiral ring binders, and who coaches for a 7-5, 8-4 or so, middle of the pack SECwest school.
Boy the ratings of the ESPN broadcast would have gone through the roof after he said "yaw yaw yaw football."
I don't blame Saban for taking a shot at the way the NCAA is coming up with rules these days. There is no consistency or even rhyme or reason for some of these constructs. A nationally covered news conference seems a good way to air the issue publically, does it not?

Anytime the media starts calling a team the best ever, it's only a matter of time before they are knocked off the throne.
Best defense ever!
Clemson took them off that pedestal, credit them.

You'd think some of these clowns would choke to death regurgitating the same old shite every single year.

Speaking of anger management, anyone see Marshalls' wife go off the rails when they lost to KY. She reminded me of Guss Buss old lady with a F-bomb thrown in for emphasis.

TBH, I usually when Saban punks a reporter for asking a dumb question, but this really was different and strange.
Isn't Saban always the one whining about reporters asking stuff about the past or things outside of football? All this guy did was ask about football and Saban starts yelling about politics and the previous national championship game
Meltdown is the best way to describe it.
Thanks for the clarification.
I had fat fingers earlier. He was asked a simple question about style of offense and went into a tirade about the press, the ncaa, rules of camps, calling out receivers, etc etc.
I'm used to the Saban little man syndrome...but this was excessively weird.
I mean, they just replaced 2 OC's from last month of last year, and a question about the style of play set him off? Really?

Saban used the question as a way to attack the NCAA's new rule limiting high school coaches' access to Summer camps. He does this pretty often. He'll make a vague connection between the question and what he wants to talk as an excuse to attack something.
In this case it was that new NCAA rule.

Since Saban can't dictate the questions he wants the media to ask him.....he twists their questions so that he can address the things "he" feels like need to be addressed.

Saban's press conferences are a theater. It's his stage. You guys should know this by now.

Why is Saban even being interviewed now?

This is true of course, particularly on the heels of them doing it 2 years in a row.
But Bama's offensive failures in January played a huge part into Clemson's offense being able to steamroll most of the 2nd half.
The defense was stuck on the field 90+ plays, they played 6 quarters worth of game. The first 2 and a half quarters the defense played absolutely fantastic, held Clemson to two scoring drives, held short fields a bunch, and forced two turnovers (which the offense did jack shite with)
Our offense had TWO drives over 2 minutes the entire game, they either went three and out or scored quickly every drive.
No matter how great your defense is, if they are stuck on the field the entire game they will likely crack, especially against an extremely dangerous offensive team like Clemson which makes you work your arse off on defense to defend the whole field.
Anyone with any football sense knows that Alabama's offense's inability to generate first downs lost that game for us, not the defense.
