Alabama beat the best spread team in the nation with the best QB in the country last night. I think it is fair to say that Saban has figured it out.

alabama did win, but I'm not sure giving up 40 points means he's "conquered" the opposing offense.

Watson toyed with Bama's defense for most of the game. Bama won in spite of their inability to stop Clemson's offense. What game did you watch?

I think Saban has conquered the spread. Bama's performances against spread offenses were great this season.

Absolute BS thread. I def have no love for clemson but special teams won that game. The defense had absolutely no answer for Clemson. The offense held in there basically on completely busted coverage.

I wouldn't say that he has conquered the spread. A good, mobile quarterback, who can throw with accuracy will give any defense all it can handle. Watson is the real deal.
Bama needed every effort in all 3 phases to win that game. Props to Clemson for a tough and close game. They were worthy opponents for a National Championship game.

Not at all. But Clemson gave Alabama it's best shot, with a Heisman-caliber QB, and we won the game. That's good enough for me.
