The influx of out of state students has made our student section worse. Most don't have the same attachment as people who grew up fans. Sometimes I wonder if they'll even stay Alabama fans after they graduate, and the team drops off.

I think it will be attended better than most are predicting. Alabama has a solid alumni and fan base in central Florida.

As folks have discussed recently... college football has some long arse games now a days. If I've been broiling in the sun for three hours watching an uninspired molestation of Whatsamatta U by Alabama and there is still a quarter and a half of football to play I'm probably going to be heading for the car as well.
Its not folks leaving during the cupcake beatdowns that should worry people, its folks bailing during close games. A lot of SEC teams have lousy coaches and the fans know it. Its hard to get exciting about going to a game to watch a poorly coached team stumble around for 4 hours while you pray for the Angel of Death to swoop down and relieve you of this terrible burden called life.

Fans pay to be there. Players get paid to be there.
Fundamental difference. That being said, students should be there for 100% of every game.

It's difficult to stay for a 66-3 blowout that began at 8:00 in the evening. Most people have to be up earlyish for church on Sunday morning. Still...the students have no excuse. Their dorms and apartment complexes are within a couple miles of the stadium.
