Hasn't played enough games to make many lists, but he the real deal.

Two of the most pleasant to watch for a Hog fan so far in an otherwise pretty unpleasant season.

Hopefully he stays healthy and we will be seeing a lot of him over the next 3-4 years.

No flame- what's going on with kam petway? I admittedly haven't seen but about 2 minutes of AU this season, is he hurt? I'm probably more concerned abotu him than anyone else on your offense but I dont' see him listed.
The specific injury has never been said, but most believe it to be plantar fasciitis. You can tell he is injured just watching him. Real slow and no burst. Why Malzahn gave him 35 carries against fricking Mercer is mind boggling. KJ has been banged up all year too, but he has still played well. He has no real speed right now recovering form a pulled hamstring.

Pettway is not even close to being healthy and he isn't a good fit for what Chip Lindsey wants to do. Kerryon, who is playing at about 75%, is a much better fit for Lindsey offense and is an absolute beast in short yardage situations. Hate to say it but the offense has looked better and better the more KP is phased out as primary ball carrier.

Alabama has 4 rushers all with more carries than the #2 back at UGA
Well that's not true. You have two rushers with more carries (Hurts and BS).

Of course none of them are going to match a guy with 75 carries in yardage when they have 20 less.
Which is why Kelly, who has 22 more carries than Chubb, is ahead of him in yardage by all of 14 yards.

Kelly has to run behind Tennessee's line and doesn't have a good back to come in and give him a rest.
Chubb has UGA's OL AND has a good back in Michel to give him a breather.

Best RB in the SEC and top 5 in the country. Can't score a point at home.

Is that a compliment? We have a lot of negative plays to get compliments on the OL. Our backs have to work pretty hard to get their yards.

Heck, I'd say that Kelly is probably the most impressive at over 5 ypc and leading in total yardage while still playing on Tennessee's atrocious offense.
The man is SEC leading rusher and plays for UT. I have to respect that. Reminds me of when Barry Sanders played for the Lions.

But... but... where's Pettway?!?!

3 of UT's five OL starters were top 150 recruits. Kelly's backup is Ty Chandler, who was top 60 (all rankings per 247).
You're acting like Kelly is playing for the Little Giants.

Pretty sure they were higher rated than ours to begin the season.

Ty Chandler is going to be a good one in his own right.

This will probably be the first year Bielema doesn't have a 1,000 yard rusher. We're splitting carries pretty evenly with Hayden, Williams and Whaley.

He had a great KO return that was called back and that's about all he's done really.
So you're telling me he is really good when his teammates cheat to help create running space for him. Cool.

If you are seriously interested, he has 15 rushing attempts for 79 yards. I would guess that 2/3 of those attempts are in mop up duty with our backup OL.
He definitely has flashed a combination of quickness to the edge and power against perimeter defenders.
But some offseason issues put him at 5th on the depth chart and he hasn't worked his way out of that yet.
