With UAB not playing football this year, the Old Grey Lady awaits these two fine teams from the East. Allegedly.
And this site mentions the G-Dome

Bring your CCL, oh and the gun that goes with it.

No way any SEC games get played there. Lat time i heard the upper deck isn't safe. I find this rumor very hard to believe.

Thought I read somewhere it may get moved to Atlanta

Nailed it... Football Captiol of the South.
Hopefully it wraps up before the sun sets.

Actually, that pertains to nothing. I just feel someone needs to use it anytime the SEC office is involved in anything to maintain tRant's consistency.

So take a game between teams from northeast Georgia and central South Carolina and move it past the northeast Georgia stadium, past the stadium in Atlanta, and put it in a steel death trap in central Alabama.
Makes sense

How is an upper deck that no longer exists unsafe?

About as much sense as moving a game from Columbia, SC to Baton Rouge. Can you meet me halfway, yo?

Watching a football game at the Iron Bowl in Birmingham is far more dangerous than watching a game in SC during a hurricane imo

Clemson's stadium is available.

It's not that bad. It feels like a carnival is going on outside the stadium.

Except the closest available stadium out of the path of the storm belongs to one of the two teams being played. Other than shear stubbornness, there's no reason for the game to be moved anywhere other than Athens.

FYI - it's called Legion Field not the Iron Bowl
Some call it the Football Capital of the South

I wasn't aware they removed the upper deck. I haven't been in years. The reason I find this hard to believe is that there has to be much better options.

Or the storm decides to head west like Lebron's mom.
