if he goes to aubarn then it will be clear that he doesn't want to be a future nfl player.

Like 7 WR that were on the Auburn 2004 team made an NFL roster even if they weren't drafted. Several were drafted.

And we have just brought in an outstanding offensive staff that a receiver should flourish in. If you think this is Tony Franklin 2.0, keep thinking that.

Not by much. I don't have current numbers, but according to the SEC, at the start of the 2007 NFL season, LSU had 33 former players on NFL rosters and Auburn had 30.

quote:

Among SEC schools, Georgia was first with 37 former players on NFL rosters, followed by Tennessee with 36, LSU with 33, Florida with 31 and Auburn with 30. Alabama had 21 players on NFL rosters, while South Carolina had 19, Ole Miss and Mississippi State had 17 each, Arkansas had 12, Kentucky six and Vanderbilt with five.

The SEC had five of its schools with 30-or-more-players on NFL rosters. No other conference had two.

Nationally, Miami (Fla.) leads with 46 former players on NFL rosters, followed by Ohio State with 44, Florida State with 41, Tennessee with 36 and Georgia with 35.

Like I said, I don't find current numbers listed anywhere right off, and the AU media guide lists all players to have been in the NFL, and I don't feel like trying to count the bold names for on current rosters. Haven't even looked for an LSU media guide yet.

All I know is that if you turn on a game on Sunday you have a pretty good chance of seeing a former Tiger, either blue and orange or purple and gold, out on the field.
