One half against Arkansas, the 7th place SEC West team.

No bud I'm not going to allow you manipulate the stats. Arkansas finished in the #22 in defense in the country last year for total yards allowed. And, they finished #15 in scoring defense in the entire country last year. Nice try though.

Stop being so defensive. Dak isn't on our schedule.

at least until you get to the SEC Title game and have to play Dak.

If we both manage to do that then - here's to the underdogs (yes underdogs).

Also, even then I wouldn't argue Dobbs over DAK unless Dobbs has a crazy good year or DAK has a mediocre one. Even so, I think DAK is a great QB and like Dobbs carries his team. They have different styles but both are damn good QBs. I honestly wish State nothing but success in the West -- prove the doubters wrong.

Even with a punishing ground game and talented defense, the Bulldogs need better production from their quarterbacks to challenge Tennessee and Missouri for the SEC East crown.
Yet UGA only passed for 303 yards total against those two last year and still won, pretty convincingly against Mizzou...

I wonder where you got that part about Grier and Harris neither being ready to lead the offense...

Funnily enough a lot of people were impressed by Grier in the Spring Game.

But keep posting random shite without any factual basis please.

What am I manipulating. The sample size for Auburn's back up was one half against Arkansas. I'm sure Kenny Trill's second half against Arkansas was better than whatever y'all's backup last year had.

You do realize we don't play either? This is solely about our schedule/who we face in opposing QBs.

This is the SEC Rant. If being the best QB every time on an SEC schedule is impressive for some team in the East, why can't it be discussed about a team in the West?

No reason. I was just clarifying because a lot of folks seem to think this applied to the entire SEC. Carry on.

This argument is getting so tired.

So Dobbs comes in, and puts up decent numbers passing (not great, just decent) against three sub par defenses in Vanderbilt (his numbers weren't that great against them) Kentucky - who even JEFF frickING DRISKEL lit up for 3 TD, and South Carolina, which had one of the worst defenses in the SEC.

Has a ho-hum game against Missorui, and then puts up only about 200 yards of offense against Iowa and now he's the best QB in the SEC?

UT fans set themselves up like this every fricking year. It's ridiculous.

He played well against alabama as well. And behind an inexperienced Oline that should be much improved this year.

We and Arkansas have had the toughest cross-division schedule for several years running. That's one of the reasons writers keep saying we finally have a better/more workable schedule despite some heavy hitters.

But see my post above about STATE. I think DAK is a great QB.

We're talking about the same Josh Dobbs that has thrown more INTs than TDs during his career, right?

Speaking of manipulating stats...

They finished so high in defensive totals in part because they had a good defense, but mostly bc they had the best rushing offense in the country.. You know, ball control and running the clock?

Their secondary was just so so, and had no film to prepare with.
Jeremy isn't going to be your savior, and you'll probably lose 4/5 games again this year.

I did read it, and he is right. At first I thought he was talking about in all of the conference, but he means on the field in Tennessee's games.

Mauk is way too inconsistent and has about as much receiver experience coming back as nobody in the SEC. Oklahoma has garbage QBs (Mayfield is overrated, but could have improved), and Bama doesn't even know who their QB is and I doubt he'll be better than Sims was. I think Grier will do pretty good, but he's not as dynamic as Dobbs. USCe will be breaking in a new QB and so will UGA. Vandy is Vandy and while I see Brandon Allen improving this year, again, Dobbs will just be too dynamic.

Oh yes, because JJ is soooo lucky. I mean it was only one game bra right. I mean it's not like he hasn't finished at the top of the NCAA in QBR in both 2013 and 2014. Yep luck against sisters of the poor in non starts. They weren't ready for him. Right? You believe what you wish. JJ is the best QB in the SEC including your precious Allen.

2013 - QBR
2014 - QBR

and yes JJ started games both years for us.
