RPI Needs Report - The Top 8

The race for hosts & national seeds are coming down to the wire. RPI isn't the end all be all, but checking the box for top 8 can't hurt.
Current RPI, Team, Wins Needed for Top 8
1 Florida - No more wins needed
4 Texas A&M - No more wins needed
5 South Carolina - 3 wins
7 Ole Miss - 3 wins
8 Mississippi St - 6 wins
9 Vanderbilt - 5 wins
13 LSU - 5 wins

5 in a row right now, hope we keep it hot through the weekend @ UT. Would be a small miracle if this team got a national seed.

Simonds went complete game 2 runs to no hitter to perfect game. Sorry. That is just how the progression goes. He'll throw a 27 pitch perfect game vs Ole Miss next week. After that he'll just ascend to heaven.

The RPI is not the be all/end all of the national seed competition.
Miss State is in better shape than Ole Miss on that front right now.

This will be an instance where the lower seed will get the national seed. The head to head is too strong with their Rpi being pretty similar.

Depends on what we do next weekend. We get swept or take 1, they probably overtake us. If we can somehow scratch out a series win, I think we stay ahead.

Mississippi State is currently number 8 in RPI and you are saying if we sweep Arkamsas and WIN the west and possibly the SEC we DROP????
