Ron Meyer versus Hugh Freeze

Is Hugh the current version of Meyer and the Pony Excess? Very similar except Meyer never hid behind Jesus the way Freeze does. Also I don't think the NCAA will death penalty Ole Miss just cripple them. Meyer was a young coach on the rise like Freeze and also was overseeing a crooked program. History repeating itself again.

Meyer had a 25,000 dollar a month payroll for players...Freeze may or may not have known about a 305 dollar rent bill. not similar. not similar at all. and you are right, freeze would kick Meyers arse on the links.

Golf and Women's basketball. But Meyer was a better coach, he won a conference championship before the hammer dropped.

Meyer didn't miss on a player, he got every player he went after...for as good as Freeze has recruited, he has missed on many big time players that come down to signing day. in 2013, freeze missed on carl Lawson, elijah daniels, peyton barber. they all signed with auburn. are you saying auburn outbid ole miss for these guys? also, chris jones went to state college. what did they give chris jones? state college went to an orange bowl and was ranked #1 for 6 weeks...but they never beat bama, so no one gives them a second look. I promise if mullen had beaten bama, they would be under a microscope too.

with the built in advantages of coaching at LSU, with no other in state school to compete with for recruits, the question would be why he hasn't won more? I would bet Meyer and Freeze would have won more of both in 9 seasons at LSU.
