The Prank

In case you haven't heard the story, here's the prank in a nutshell: in 1961 before the Carolina-Clemson game, members of the Carolina chapter of Sigma Nu borrowed uniforms from Orangeburg High School and made their way on to the field at Williams-Brice to imitate the Clemson team during warm-ups, complete with pretending to milk cows, punting backwards over their heads, bumbling through plays and more. It took a few minutes for the Clemson crowd to catch on, but once they did, they were not happy!

"When we ran out onto the field, the Clemson band immediately started with Tiger Rag and we had about five lines of ten guys, so it was enough that it looked credible," said Hancock. "A few people had on two left shoes but that's because we couldn't find shoes that all matched and we had some tiny guys on the team too."

This is the funniest thing I've heard regarding CFB in a long time.

Along with Sc-Notre Dame, Mich-OSU and SC-UCLA those Auburn and UT photos just look like college football. Especially the old ones of the Iron Bowls and UT games at Legion Field.
Remember AU never visited Ttown until 2000 and UT never played in Ttown until 1998. Those days of legion were great. Southside on Friday nights would be packed with UT or AU fans.

The best thing about them is the 1967 photos look just like the 2016 photos. Jerseys and helmets are almost identical.

Damn look at all that orange in the UT/Bama background in 99. My how the times have changed (though recently I think we're getting back towards the way it should be)

I was sitting in the other corner as a 10 year old kid in our seats. My dad told me to never forget that, so I haven't, and for the last decade I have savored every second of every Alabama-Tennessee victory as I smoke my stogie and think of that moment.

Win-win for all of us I guess

Mark Jones runs down the sideline in Tennessee's 38-0 victory over Vanderbilt in 2000.

Jay Cutler leads Vanderbilt to their first win at Tennessee in 30 years in 2005.

30 years is a long time, these boys were fired up.

Phil Fulmer waves to the fans after defeating Vanderbilt in his final season as UT's head coach.
