If our O-line had produced even half as good as they did for Brandon Allen, Austin would have had a much better season...I look for him to make a jump and challenge 1st team SEC

Who did they play after he was made a starter ?

The only thing I know is according to the sec rant Danny Etling can't throw a forward pass so those stats have to be made up.

Stats can be misleading in College Football. Some teams were ranked in the SEC that didn't have very good Defenses. Some of the statistically better Secondary's padded their stats by playing against poor SEC QBs. That is why using stats for College Football is a waste of time. At least in the NFL it is comparing Apples to Apples.

This is exactly what they say about Hurts. THOUGH I will say Hurts > Etling by a wide margin.

Hurts is prob a bit less accurate and has a bigger arm.
That being said Hurts is a gifted runner and has a 100% more upside than DE. He also led the tide to some huge wins and should've led the comeback against Clemson if it wasn't for Watsons greatness/bamas d crumbling. I won't throw shade on Danny's legs tho he makes some good decisions on when to scramble and he's decently fast.

Good shite, I agree with every bit of that. All y'all really need out of Etling is him to be serviceable and not turn the ball over.

If hurts becomes a good-great passer in these next two years the sky's the limit for that kid. I def don't want to see a dynamic QB paired with that defense.... could spell doom for the SEC..... its already is too much to deal with.
