Well, it would help with fall's defense recruiting for sure but idk Starkville seems like a good place to get trapped

Now that Mullen's sucking up to Greg McGarity for the last half decade didn't result in him getting the Georgia job, you have to wonder who he will befriend now to try and get out of Starkville.

Serious question, dawg fans: from all accounts, Coach O could have earned $1M+ here & turned the position down. Does Ms.State have that kind of money to pay a DC?

I didn't want him as LSUs DC. Doesn't have experience and was a disaster HC.
Great DL coach and ELITE recruiter though. We pay him a shite ton of money to do that and be close to his family.
