Cam Newton is one of the most physically gifted college football players in the history of the game. When he is playing well he is probably one of the GOAT - however it is abundantly clear he puts himself above the team. Unfortunately his intellect, character, and integrity are lower than a fleas a$$. The most significant indictment of his character and commitment to his team is his admission today he didn't dive for the ball because he feared injuring himself. Team player? He claims he's a sore loser yet he didn't even dive in for a fumble that could have won the Panthers the game?

As talented as Newton is I believe his low character overwhelms his athletic skills to the point he becomes more of a detriment than asset to his team. I would not want Newton as the QB of my team at any level.

McElroy is an intelligent man of high character and integrity with limited athletic ability. Above all McElroy was a team player who put the team first and won a National Championship as the leader of the team. McElroy lead by example in attitude and work ethic despite his athletic deficiencies. He did the best he could with what he had. McElroy's ability to transition quickly into a media career is evidence of the quality of his character and integrity.

That little comment from G-Mac has sent the entire herd (pun intended) of Auburn folks over the edge! Calm down people (and farm animals), the pain will eventually subside...I promise.

OP, that was three Alabama national championships ago. Do you realize how long it takes to get three national championships?

Since 2008 Auburn has beaten Alabama all of 2 times.
By a total of 7 points.

I can live with that.

Remember when Alabama was up 42-0 at halftime and took their starters out and won 49-0 in 2012. Ur team quit on the bus to Tuscaloosa.
