Regardless of the outcome of the UT game...the TAMU game looms large!

Just looked at TAMU's schedule...they get a bye before Bama, then they only have two tough games left (OM and LSU) and both are at home.

Should Bama drop the TAMU game(which is our 8th straight game with no break), we would need TAMU to lose to BOTH OM and LSU at home which is unlikely. We could easily be 11-1 this year an not even make ATL.

Almost makes me wish we would rest some of our key players this week...we can always get revenge against the Vols in ATL but we can't get to ATL without winning the TAMU game. Just realized how massive the TAMU game is.

No. No it is not.

We suck.

We are the most overrated team in the history of rankings.

Ignore Aggy.

Focus ALL that energy on beating your true rivals.

A&M will lose all its games, except for LSU. They are going to beat the ever living frick out of LSU.

Very true.

I'll add this. A&M plays NMSU & @MSU before Ole Miss then UTSA before LSU. These should be glorified scrimmages.

LSU is suddenly a tough game? I could have sworn the SECRant told me that LSU sucks.

I say this as 100% not a flame, Bama can run all over A&M and keep the ball away from them. The only way this is close is if Kiffen doesn't run the damn ball.

A&M is just getting into the meat of the schedule, so there are possible losses to come.

Really looking at the SEC W, everyone except Arky and State are still in it at the moment. Arky will probably play spoiler to someone.

A&M SOS: #4

A&M has 3 wins over currently ranked opponents.

SEC West is crazy.

Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU. Add UT to that which we just played and I'd call that the meat of our schedule.

A&M can stop the run better than they got credit for after the Tennessee game. They have done well against better rushing offenses this season, but Tennessee is a completely different animal and a complete team on offense. A&M had fits with them all day, but still held them to a single score in the first half (prior to the magic kicking in) and won the game. Not only that, but many of those turnovers were caused by A&M's defense - they were forcing fumbles, getting picks, and stripping balls from Tennessee players. People who just tuned into this season might think A&M's defense is soft, but they are sorely mistaken.

This is why I was pulling for Tennessee last weekend.

Collect your W in Tennessee and tell Nick to get a few cases of Jack Daniels and hold a team celebration all next week.

You don't have anything to worry about with the Aggies!

post less. let's try and get that average down to about 10-15 posts a year.

I think the A&M defense got worn down in the second half and also suffered from rarely having Garrett on the field. They didn't really give us anything in the 1st half. I also think they fell in love with trying to force fumbles which actually worked out well for us in the 2nd half because it ended up causing a lot of missed tackles on their part.

I'll also add that Kamara is as slippery as anyone in the country and also has the best balance and burst of anyone I've seen this year in any conference (Treyveon Williams is up there as well). I don't miss watching Hurd run into the back of our O-line.

This is exactly what I believe.

It is also exactly what I fear will happen.

Lol wut? Already played 3 teams that are currently ranked (and another that was ranked at the time) vs playing 2 ranked teams in the back half of the schedule. Not saying we're home free by any means, but the "meat" of our schedule was the front half.

Well, now that they've negotiated their own extra bye week, they could be tough. Not having to play an extra game to get people healthy for the stretch run was genius for LSU.

You are probably right, and besides flipping to the UCLA game every now and then I hadn't seen much of the Aggies until last Saturday. They absolutely deserve credit for many of those TO's. But if they play the same soft run defense against Bama as they did against UT, they will not win.
