Yep. This sends a message out. "Know thy place.". Beat us once, ok, beat us twice in a row and you get the NCAA setting up shop on your campus.

I read during the season that Bo's suspension was "all Ole Miss's fault." I put no faith in that. Now, I wonder

Bama fans were the first to report the shady Greg Little recruitment too.

The OM investigation commenced in 2012, right? Who won the OM/Bama games in '11' "12', ''13 while the NCAA was camped out in Oxford? This shitstorm has been going on a long time, and appears the NCAA still ain't done.

Yep... received impermissible benefit on a visit to FSU. Ole Pi$$ has a lot of problems... but Bo ain't one of them.

Forced Sex University guilty in the Bo "ACL" suspension? I'll never believe that.

I heard Mizzou reported them for the Royce Newman recruitment. They got to his coach, and he steered Newman to Ole Miss.

The NCAA has had dirt on their recruitment of Treadwell before he ever played a down at OM. Okylite turned them in and had statements from an uncle about payments and job offerings. Tunsil is another that is well documented.

Bama fan huh?

Was this an administrator. A compliance person, maybe a member of the coaching staff? This was a "fan"?

And, as I've said before, the younguns on this board give a group of former players (the REC) too much credit. These former players that mostly comprise the REC couldn't care less.
The group that runs this kind of stuff is the Compliance department which answers to the President and Board. We do have compliance people, as all schools do, that when they hear something act upon it. The NCAA would not even entertain a phone from the Red Elephant Club quite frankly.
People have pointed the finger as MSU for spilling the beans, I assume it was several schools as it always is. SMU wasn't pointed at by one school but several. The bigger question is why is this even a surprise that this investigation is taking place. 5 stars from Michigan don't go there.

talking to a Bama fan today at soccer game and he was saying rumor is throughout Bama that bama did in fact report Ole Miss

Always a good source of fact-finding news.I remember back in '92 or so talking to an Auburn fan on the track at the Y who said they were hearing Eric Ramsey's tapes were spliced and there was nothing to his accusations.

That worked out well. Good info.

It's hilarious to me that some people actually believe the REC has the behind the scenes influence they do. I have friends and relatives who are REC members and all they do is go to a few meetings each year to eat, drink, and socialize and listen to the occasional speaker. It's basically your standard quarterback club.

Chris Jones has also been interviewed at least once, maybe more than once.

I also think that GA is involved (i.e. Tunsil).
