1. I like to watch the world burn

I really only want LSU to win. I think Alabama losing isn't a bad thing for LSU. No one has ever proven that Alabama winning helps LSU recruiting. No one has ever shown that the SEC having a winning bowl record helps LSU recruiting.

And you like a low national perception of the SEC and a diminished chance of making the playoff. In short, you're not very intelligent.

I don't pull for an sec team unless I like them more than their opponent. I want Alabama and Florida to both get curb stomped, and if Alabama wins I hope they get curb stomped the next week.

That's called cutting-off one's nose to spite one's own face.

You left out your insecurity and inferiority complex.

An undefeated or 1 loss SEC team will always make the playoff.
In short, frick Alabama

I'd rather the entire conference be viewed as a pile of shite than have Alabama get another title. Just how it is, and surprised if you didn't feel the same about us.
As for diminished chance of making the playoff, what'd you do with your Roll Ducks shirt from from 2010?

I think the prestige of the SEC helps OM recruiting. We are able to recruit nationally right now and several recruits we got from outside the footprint have mentioned their desire to play in the SEC.

this isn't accurate, IMO.
For starters, what should a fan be more concerned about? The "national percpetion" (how woudl that even be quantified) of the league, or winning the league and seeing what happens? You have a better chance of winning the league if you have better players. You get better players through recruiting, and if 5 or 6 other teams are all winning more often and more high profile than your school, that doesn't help you.
Second, I think we can all agree that the last year or 2 the SEC's national brand has lost a bit of luster over the previous decade, right? I don't think there's any arguing there. Guess what...the SEC champ the last 2 years has made the playoff.
If you win, you're in. Pretty simple. And the best chance to win is by your own recruiting efforts (in addition to coaching, but that goes without saying).
I don't wear shirts with SEC on them. I don't go to football games to watch SEC. I didn't graduate from SEC and haven't ever been to the campus of SEC. I (and others) should only care about my school. And for my school to do better, it would be helpful for the other 5 or 6 big schools we are in direct competition wiht to do worse.

You're a fan of the Vols. Has it helped the Vols to see Bama and Florida win bowl games and improve their standing with recruits and the media?
Chanting "SEC! SEC! SEC!" as enthusiastically as you would cheer for your own team doesn't make you loyal or even a close observer of media perception concerns.
It just makes you an inbred.

I'm pulling for LSU tonight. Making a huge pot of red beans 'n rice for the occasion.

Ah, I guess you don't have this problem because a school you didn't go made the playoffs?

If a poster's name is "SC Rooster", they probably are a SC fan.

I edited my post because I'm beginning to change my mind about rooting for the other SEC teams playing OCC games and bowl games. Hell, Alabama is going to be Alabama, a perennial powerhouse, household name where college football is involved and they'll most always be in the playoff picture, whereas the other SEC teams benefit from Alabama's fame and notoriety to benefit their image.
I guess the real problem I've got with folks like the OP is that I have no patiences with stupid people.

Since the SECCG in 92, how many times has a 1 or 0 loss SEC champ not made the title game/playoffs? The only one offhand I can recall is Auburn in 04, where the preseason 1 and 2 teams both went wire to wire undefeated so that's really more of a case of crap luck. Are there any others?
You act like if the SEC doesn't have multiple teams with 10 or 11 wins than the SEC Champ is just going to be tossed aside.
