Two top 25 teams. Place is nice and less than 5 mins from the stadium. All the hotels in the area are booked. Any idea what a reasonable price would be for the weekend?

And is airbnb the best option?

Airbnb is the only option (that I know of), and yes, the owners tend to know when the big weekends are and price accordingly.

You can also look at VRBO

Really depends on a lot of different variables, Stephen.

If you use Airbnb, DO NOT pick a place that has no reviews.

And if you pick a place, actually read the reviews first.

What if you're trying to rent out a place? And this is your first time doing so?

They always rent out houses in this area for the Kentucky Derby and they can range anywhere from $300-$400 to a few thousand depending on what you rent.

So really, it depends on the area and event. Also some local governments are trying to crack down on the popularity of airbnb rentals since they can rent out regularly without having to meet hospitality regulations in the area. So that's to consider as well.
