Reality check for UGA?

Stolen from elsewhere:
With Auburn's win in basketball Saturday, they moved into a tie in the all-time series with Georgia in both basketball and football. Since I've been alive, UGA has never led the football series, only managed to pull into a tie a couple of times. But any mutt fan you talk to will exude an air of superiority regarding Auburn, as if they are consistently a cut above us and to be considered one of the SEC elite. But even with their recent run of football success against us, they can still only muster a tie in the series all-time.
But talk about your underachievers. They reside in a talent-rich state with a larger population than Alabama and have virtually no in-state competition (GT is an afterthought). They haven't been truly relevant since the days of Herschel Walker (1980-82). Since Walker left in 1982, Georgia has won exactly 2 SEC titles. And they haven't even played for a national championship. Compare that to Auburn and the rest of the so-called "Big Six" of the SEC:
Since 1982...
Auburn has won or shared 7 SEC titles, played for two national titles, winning one.
Alabama has won or shared 6 SEC titles, played for four national titles, winning four.
Tennessee has won or shared 5 SEC titles, played for one national title,, winning one.
LSU has won or shared 6 SEC titles, played for three national titles, winning two.
Florida has won or shared 8 SEC titles, played for four national titles, winning three.

Only an Auburn fan would care this much about another opponent. UGA would y'all's arse this year, deal with it

What do you want from us to go away?

UGA hasn't always been UGA of today. UGA has probably underachieved post-HOPE, but you can't judge them historically on an Alabama or Texas or Michigan scale. More like Auburn or LSU, at least until the 90s.

I think we feel better about our head to head record which is why we talk crap to y'all. It's the same thing USC can do to us, because even though we've had more success as a whole, they have been better in the head-to-head games and deservedly talk crap to us.
As a whole, there have really been two elite schools recently and they are Bama and Florida (maybe LSU). I don't think anyone else should even consider themselves in the top 5 in the nation over the last 15-20 years.

Agree but I'd have to take the maybe off of LSU since they lead the SEC in victories over a 15 year time span. Auburn's been a little inconsistent but I'd put them 4th over that time with UGA fifth.

We just are better than you

As seen by the fact Auburn has won two SEC titles, played in two national championships, and won one national championship since the last time Georgia won an SEC title.
Couple that with the fact that Georgia Tech is still having to carry the load of having the most recent national football title in Georgia, the struggle is real.

Might want to make us struggle a little harder next time.

I think that's pretty fair. If it was 16 years I think Tennessee would be ahead of us as well. As far as elite nationally I only consider the top 5 to be elite. Over the last 15 years that's probably:
Florida, Bama, LSU, Ohio St, and USC in some order with FSU and Texas right on the outside of that.

I know this is a troll thread, but you could switch AU and Bama in this paragraph and you would be arguing against AU's argument of superiority over Bama during the last 30 years.
