Realistically can the SEC East ever challenge the might of a healthy Mizzou?

It's a fair question. Really thus far its been shown that only an extreme injury plagued year such as 2012 can stop Mizzou from dominating the division.

I'm concerned about disrupting the competitive balance of a tradition-laden division here. You hope and pray that some young contender can step up in the future and match Mizzou's SEC-best defensive line play or its prolific offense...but might that be asking too much?

I fear it just may.

It may be several years before the SEC East is Mizzou-ready. The recruiting classes at several schools are gonna have to grow up quickly to make a game of this division again. That or SEC expansion to 16 needs to happen a lot faster and ship our asses back West where at least Bama and Aubie can hang.

It's not that I don't enjoy success, mind you. But the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party really should mean something each year, its good for college football. And that just may not be possible anymore with the Big M of the Midwest looming over both of them. Dark days indeed.
