UVA & GaTech rumor on several boards.

I think Slive would set his scotch down just long enough to come back over the top with VaTech & UNC.

Game over if that happens in coordination with our $EC Network. From El Paso to DC.

I wish I was in the land of cotton...

That means we get UNC and Duke and win realignment forever

That rumor has been going on for awhile...Georgia Tech was supposed to have been invited a few months ago...

If the SEC adds anyone, I want to see Florida State in the conference, maybe along with Virginia Tech

FSU is practically begging for an SEC invite and that will never happen

UNC is the prize here, and they're not coming without Duke.

We want in the NC market, so if that means taking NC State, then VPI will get an invite as well.

All of this is immanent, but nothing happens until the MD lawsuit is settled. No idea how long that will be.

Fla St wants no part of the SEC plus Fla won't let it happen
Fla St would go Big 12 or stay in a watered down ACC with easier access to national title playoff

No purpose in getting two schools in the same state, and the basketball game wouldnt make enough to warrant bringing them. VA school and a NC school. All there is to it.

Football & TV sets are what this is all about. It's VaTech & whoever else. If UNC won't split from Duke, NCSt will in a heart beat. Won't change the $ much from the state of N.Carolina footprint. Duke is a hoops brand and that is it. No added footprint from UNC.

And Clemson/FSU better warm up to the B12, b/c the SEC invite ain't coming.

If that was all there was to it then we wouldn't have been targeting UNC/Duke for the past three years

FSU is an SEC school in ACC clothing...I think it would be stupid not to add them.

I could care less about playing NC State...

I can bet every charter member of the conference would block FSU after what happened in the early 90's. I'd love to have them in though, along with Clemson.

Kick out Mizzou, Vandy, and Kentucky; bring in FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, UNC, and either Texas or OU

^^My ideal scenario here

EvilVodka, i think Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and South Carolina, all have an agreement to vote down any chance of allowing their instate rivals to join our conference. They have a pact to keep Fla St, Clemson, Louisville, and Ga Tech out. I don't see any of those teams being voted in.

My ideal SEC:

Texas
Texas A&M
LSU
Ole Miss
Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Georgia
FSU
Florida

9 game conference schedule...it would be the best conference ever

That makes way to much sense to actually happen. Those two are easily the "most SEC" schools available.
