Why don't you just add Bill Belicheck too?

I don't know why they don't, probably because they don't think it's very likely they'd get him.

Not on the field you didn't.

Alabama coaches between Bryant & Saban vs LSU

Ray Perkins 1-2-1
Bill Curry 2-1
Gene Stallings 6-1
Mike DuBose 2-2
Dennis Franchione 1-1
Mike Shula 0-4

That's a total of 12-11-1 - and you only got that close by dominating Mike Shula's teams.

Do you really think any of them voluntarily leave their current set up to go to LSU? Don't be obtuse.

Stoops is the only one with a remote chance. Meyer is a buckeye through and through and already said he is not leaving

You're forgetting Bryant's last season and Saban's first. 2-0, LSU.

13-12-1

Sorry you were wrong.

Curley fricking Hallman beat an undefeated, Gene Stallings coached Alabama team on their own field.

Let THAT sink in.

Oh, I see now. You make an argument about coaches between two of the GOAT but the facts don't support your case.

Sorry you're a fan of a team that simply can't point to the record books without having to rely on cherry picking.

Just because it's inclusive, doesn't mean they're excluded.

Sorry you're wrong too.

cherry picking.

By actually INCLUDING two season coached by two of Alabama's GOATs?

From 1982-2007, LSU had a winning record vs Alabama. That corresponds to Bryant's last season and Saban's first - just as I said. It is not invalid because you don't like it, it is simply fact.

My point is that I wouldn't expect dissimilar results after Saban leaves and before Alabama hires their next Wallace Wade.

I think if you just relax, and quit being so defensive, you would see my point and simply agree.

I didn't say they would, I said:
quote:

there are a lot of other coaches that LSU is looking at that could prevent a slide

The list I provided is from here:
Report: LSU plans to gauge interest of Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, other top coaches
So lighten up, it's not my fault.
quote:

There are two coaches that help you maintain place in top 3-4 teams in the conference.

NO ONE saw Nick Saban coming until LSU took a chance on him. That can happen again.
quote:

you could find yourself in an extended period of being where you currently rank, which would be 5-7 range behind Bama, UT, A&M, Ole Miss, AU, Arky, UF.

Anything's possible.

Getting a coach that would put LSU above Alabama would be a grand slam, above UF and UT and Alabama, a home run.

The rest are just singles and doubles.

The "between" means those seasons aren't included. So your OP implied 1983-2006.

Now that you've been proven wrong, you change the criteria to include those two seasons.

You need Florida to get back to normal then-- in the modern SEC Florida is basically Bama's counterweight. Not sure Mac is the guy to do it but at least he isn't trying to mirror Bama like Muschamp did (he wants to mirror the recruiting and development but has a distinctly different approach to offense than he did at Bama

Florida is LSUs counterweight and vice versa.

There is a reason LSU or UF have played in 16 of 24 SEC Championship games but never against each other. One sets the other a game back in their division every single year.

Tennessee is Alabama's counterweight, and they have sucked since 2008. Coincidentally the same time Bama has made their run?
Alabama and UT have never met in the SEC title game for the same reason.
