Are you serious?

Considering there has been only one other coach in the modern era the same caliber of Saban, there can only have been exactly one hire made after a coach the caliber of Saban: Ray-Ray Perkins.

Tell me this, when has Alabama ever hired a coach the caliber of Saban immediately after having a coach the caliber of Saban leave?

Really? That's ALL you see on here?

Well, personally, I don't play any sports... but within the last 5 years, Alabama has won National titles in:

Women's Golf
Softball
Gymnastics (twice)
Men's Golf (twice)

... I'm not sure what you're trying to imply about everyone else then.

When Saban leaves I am gonna enjoy watching you suck like you did from 1997-2007

~shrug~ Sure, okay.

Yeah, you had a couple 10 win seasons in that span but who gives a frick??

Well, you do, apparently.

Okay, so which Alabama fan teabagged you?

you are missing the point (likely intentionally). Bama has always survived the bad coaching hires (everyone of them since 1960 has had at least one 10 win season). Bama has won at least one SEC title in every decade since 1960, including the 80's without Bryant, the 90's (with and without Stallings).

Now, because of what Saban has built combined with the history of the program, it isn't a matter of surviving a bad coaching hire. They'll not make the "mistakes" of the past (even though Perkins, Curry, Stallings, DuBose all won titles and Fran and Shula had 10+ win seasons).

Better question is who is he? Obviously an alter, what is his regular user name?

What a terrible Aggy or Arky alter.

Alabama's problems 1997-2007 were the result of severe ncaa sanctions, more than any other factor. Those sanctions resulted in Franchione dropping the rope, and UA settling on Mike Shula, and even then, a better coach could probably have been hired, but it was impossible to know how Shula would do.

No, you're missing the point, likely opn purpose.

Bama has never followed up a coach the caliber of Saban with another coach the caliber of Saban. Between Bryant's last season and Saban's first at Alabama, LSU had a winning record vs the Tide.

Sorry.

Won't end til Saban or Emmert retires or the NCAA tries to punish a school with enough power to drag out all the stuff they have swept under the rug.

There is no other coach available that is the caliber of Saban. Like I said, Bama will likely follow Saban with Dabo (who is a top 5 level coach right now), so not really concerned about it. That said, it's not something that really needs attention among Bama fans for another 5-6 years any way. Meanwhile, you guys need to hope you land Herman or Jimbo otherwise the slide doesn't stop.

Got to love this outdated info graphic that was created by a bama fan.

Why didnt they go in alphabetical order for the 5's and what team is conveniently missing?

Don't worry. Of the four games between Alabama and Arkansas, Tennessee, aTm and LSU. Alabama will lose at least two of them, maybe more.

Literally one of the only two rough patches in the school's history and you assume that's where Bama goes after Saban leaves?

Funniest thing of all, in those 11 years that were our worst since the 1950s, Bama was bowl eligible in all but 3, had 3 10 win seasons, won the west twice, and won a SECCG.

Actually there are a lot of other coaches that LSU is looking at that could prevent a slide.

Urban Meyer
Nick Saban
Bob Stoops

...just to name 3.

Why don't you just add Bill Belicheck too?

LSU is about to have their eyes opened wide as an aggie butthole

Do you really think any of them voluntarily leave their current set up to go to LSU? Don't be obtuse. You know we are talking about the realistic candidates. There are two coaches that help you maintain place in top 3-4 teams in the conference. Any other coach is a bigger gamble and you could find yourself in an extended period of being where you currently rank, which would be 5-7 range behind Bama, UT, A&M, Ole Miss, AU, Arky, UF.
