97-'07 (which included an SEC Championship) was the exception not the rule for Alabama.
You can't rely on Alabama having a reduction of 20 scholarships to even things out. Won't happen again.

Yes, Alabama will come down off this historic high never seen before in CFB and sports in general.
They'll regress back to their mean. But Bama's mean is averaging a National Championship and 2-4 SEC Championships per decade.

Here's a thread about Tim Tebow hitting a HR on his first at bat. It was posted by BamaScoop, a Bama fan.

Now that I've nullified your first statement, is there something else your whiney arse wants to cry about?

You can't possibly expect Bama to hire someone as bad as Miles.

Ears Whitworth?
Ray Perkins?
Bill Curry?
Mike DuBose?
Dennis Franchione?
Mike Price?
Mike Shula?

Hell, Miles had a better win% and just as many national championships as Gene Stallings.

This should be "team they root for." Most of these fricks have never seen the inside of a classroom @ Bama.

Saban blows bubbles when he chews beef jerky, get over it! We are Alabama!

Yeah, you had a couple 10 win seasons in that span but who gives a frick?? That was a rough time to be a gump.

And an SEC Championship but you are right - definitely was the low point of Alabama football

And the same for LSU fans. Ohio St fans. Michigan fans. Notre Dame fans.

You don't think a 100,000 seat stadium is filled with just alumni do you?

Exactly ONE of those hires came after a coach the caliber of Saban.

The point is, the program has always been an attractive place for coaches, but the PTB have tried to stick with "Bryant guys" or "Bama guys". The athletic department is run in a fashion much differently than at any point in time. The program is even more attractive today than it has ever been.

Bama is in better position to sustain success after Saban than LSU was and they still had great success. Bama will likley hire Dabo, but if not him then it will be another top 5 caliber coach. Good news is, this isn't likely something we'll have to be concerned with for another 5--6 years.

if Bama won every game from now on, the big 6 would never change so LSU would forever be big 6. so I'm kinder for it. I used the hard er for "kinder" instead of the soft a for "kinda"
