Mississippi State has never won a game in the month of August. 0-6 all-time.

Dak Prescott leads all returning QBs in the nation in some made up stat: Touchdowns per start. 3.6. Braxton Miller is second at 3.0

Six players on MSU's roster have already received their degree and are in grad school. Leads the SEC.

The ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll is apparently now the Amway Coaches Poll. Ugh.

A decent year and Dak Prescott breaks the all-time yardage total for the school. Stands at 7097. Dak's at 3081. That's 308 per game if we play 13 games. That's under his normal production.

The Tigers had the ball while trailing with less than two minutes remaining five times last season, and scored a touchdown all five times.

"Head coach Steve Spurrier has had as many 11-win seasons in nine years at South Carolina (3) as he had in his 12 years at Florida"

"Head coach Steve Spurrier is 23-1 all-time in season openers as a collegiate head coach. His only season-opening loss, ironically, was a 27-21 loss to the Gamecocks in Columbia on Sept. 2, 1989, while the head coach at Duke University."
