FSU Seminoles
NC State Wolfpack
Va Tech Hokies
OU Sooners
UT Longhorns
WVU Mountaineers
Aleutian Island Polar Bears
Missouri Tigers (once we kick them out)

My ratings are
1. OU
2. UT

3. Va Tech
4. FSU

5. Mizzou
6. NC State

7. Aleutian Island Polar Bears

8. WVU

Note that I do not want to expand more myself. I am just making this thread for in case the commissioner is dumb enough to want more expansion.

Don't you think if UF allows FSU in they will lose their only recruiting advantage over FSU?

It's as if we refuse to accept the reasons behind expansion.

Off your list the only serious option is Va Tech and NC State.

Edit, saw your troll after the fact. Well played.

Give me two out of West Virginia, NC State and Virginia Tech.

The thought of Texas or Oklahoma in the SEC disgusts me. Florida State had their chance once before and it will never happen now imo.

It was more to show how bad these expansion options are that FSU is rated highly.

Agreed but you know it's gonna happen eventually. I'd rather go back to 12 iwabh

I agree. I was making this thread for in case the commissioner is dumb enough to want to expand further.

7. Aleutian Island Polar Bears

My vote every time!

Not sure about the number of bears though. You realize the Aleutians are as close to Hawaii as they are the North Pole.

FSU Seminoles - Good program to add though another Florida team isn't all that necessary. Would not oppose this addition.

NC State Wolfpack - More important to add the state than this particular program but likewise a good addition that I would not oppose.

Va Tech Hokies - Very good addition probably should be the #1 target for expansion.

OU Sooners - An ok choice but not that desirable, and no room for the states junior program to tag along.

UT Longhorns - Pariah in every conference they have been in, imagine Bama with a weaker program but more obnoxiously arrogant fans. No thanks.

WVU Mountaineers - Not a terrible choice at first glance but who really wants to travel there on a regular basis?

Missouri Tigers (once we kick them out) - A bit harsh maybe! (or not)

Expansion in the SEC is all about TV sets and bigger TV deals ie more dollars. One name school from VA and NC would be ideal. UVA, VA T, UNC, or NC ST are the only options, again one from each state.

Other than that Texas and OU would probably be next, but only if Texas gave up their network and agreed to equal revenue sharing. Other than these teams the only other "take" would be ND under the same restrictions as Texas. I don't see either of those two pompous schools accepting these conditions in the near future

Edit to say "I don't like expansion either" but it is probable.

While you are correct about that point, the actual bigger issue may be the way the entertainment media industry is changing. As you may have read recently in the Outkick segment on this subject, Clay Travis noted the downward trending numbers of cable settop box subscribers. This is a significant and increasing trend that seems to have no end in sight, as older subscribers die off they are not being replaced, the millennial and younger generations have indicated a clear choice toward streaming services and while this may effect the Sports viewing numbers less, it will change the way it works presently. ESPN will be forced to adapt to a more consumer based streaming service market, or they will continue a rapid decent in lost revenue. The concept of the "state-footprint" market paradigm may quickly be replaced by one that represents the shear number of viewers in marketability by teams.

If schools like Texas and Notre Dame adapt to stream service marketing there may be little or less impetus for them to actually join conferences, at this rate they may go independent from both a sports affiliation and media affiliation view. They can pretty much market themselves and produce and sell their own "product" in the open market and traditional networks can either "buy" games or elect not to with a major college programs ability to deliver their own sports coverage to the market place at a very good sales rate and profitability of direct sale to the consumer.

Expansion may not be nearly as probable as you assume.

Moutain West team or someone like BC. Someone y'all know for sure won't make the SEC championship game.

No OU.

SEC towns do not have the nostril burning smell of an industrial cattle stockyard.

Down voted for dumbness, and with some of the threads I have starred, I know what I am talking about

The correct answers are UNC and UVA which is not happening because the ACC survived 2010 and will survive in the future.
