Houston is one of the great Southern Cities

Anyone who believes this should not post on this silly thread anymore.

Houston was maybe southern 50 years ago, not anymore by a long shot.

If you want to feel white, southern and American go visit H-Town b/c you will be in the vast minority.

The most "Ethnic" (and Ethnic meaning Hispanic, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern and everything in between) city in a America cannot be Southern.

I disagree w you, TIEF.

Just because a city isn't ethnically homogenous (similar to most southern cities), that doesn't mean you don't find large, very culturally-targeted enclaves there.

Houston has everything from very southern to very Seattle.

I would think it has everything from Very Mumbai to Very Mexico City more than very Dixie..

Its no big deal though, if you crave some South you can get on 59 or 10 and just head east for an hour and you're in Dixie..

I agree with that--Mumbai, Mexico City, Seoul, London, Munich ... and Dixie
(though not like Jackson, MS Dixie)
I didn't take it as a "big deal;" just sayin' the southern element is most def alive & well in HTown.
Thankfully, the Texas charm overshadows all of em.

I can't believe how little you guys know. Florida is the obvious answer. Hell it's only 90 miles from Cuba.
