They did play FSU to start the year who many had crowned as a playoff team.

He may not end up being the best QB in the league but even against the competition Shurmur has to be the most improved.

It's not top competition and he won't be #1 in the conference all year, but it is extremely encouraging to have Shurmur perform this well.
Feels like this type of play could make Vandy a legit contender in the East.
Let's see how he performs against a top 20 team in Kansas State this week though.

I would point out that Fresno State was the #1 defense in the nation heading into yesterday's game before they got shredded by the Tide.

I'll give you most improved all day long. Idc that it was against non conference teams last year's shurmur looked like dog shite wrapped in cat shite. He's come a long way.
